Donuts! First in years. "Entenmann's" "Softee Variety" - 3. They are poor, but they were free. Alay liked it.  /// A long cold ordeal: I wanted to go to the library again today to do some more checking on the stocks, but I decided that I could do that Monday {tomorrow} and that I should go straight to work.              Worked 3.5. After doing some work, I lit the fire and spent some time in front of it working on my larger ultimate starship primary hull (kite) design. Strangely, I did not get warmed up until awhile after I had eaten the apple fruits. (They were warming me up from within.) It went fairly well, I power sanded off the bottom and then later the rear sides at an angle. Although I angled the rear sides more than I wanted to. Then I fiddled around and stayed too late. Then I remembered my water and filled up my 15 jugs and took them out to the car. {The water was bad at the park, so I would fill up my gallon jugs at mother's house and take them home.} Mother seemed to be in a good mood so I asked her to come out and see how my "Accelerator Stick" works because I was about ready to start up the motor. She declined as usual saying that she doesn't have her shoes on and that it's too late and too cold. So I went ahead but the motor would not start. So I leashed up Puddypie on the hand rail and pushed my car into the carport. I worked on my car for awhile. I came in several times to get things and to put more wood on the fire. Mother did not know what was going on (she was sleeping away), and I wanted to keep it that way if I could. I had gotten out the tool kit that mother had given me. I was hopeful. At least I had not gotten stranded out on the street somewhere in the dark and the cold. I was thinking that if I could find the problem here and now, then I could put an end to my quitting problem. I determined that there was no spark coming from the coil. I did not know what to do next but I found a connection that was not connected all the way, and when it was apart, the motor would not crank. And also when I put it together, I had spark! So confident that I had solved my quitting problem, I put everything away and got puddypie and went for home. I was going along on Dunlap and to my horror, the motor quit again! I coasted as far as I could. Then I got out and pushed.   























Fortunately this being very late on a Sunday night, there was very little traffic (actually, the very best time of all {to be out late}). I pushed my car aways and was hoping to get it pushed all the way to the corner of 19 Avenue and Dunlap. But I saw traffic coming, so thinking that I would rather be safe, I pushed it off of the main street. I opened the hood and got out my tools and started working on it. It was dark there and so I needed my flashlight to see anything, and that bothered me. So I decided to wait for some traffic to go by and then to see if I could get my car pushed to the corner where I wanted to go. So I got to pushing. Then I saw across the street (on the south side), that there was a well lit empty parking lot. And it seemed that it might be too much up hill to get it to the corner that I had in mind. So I turned it across the street and pushed it into the parking lot and stopped it under a light. There I (and Puddypie) was to stay awhile. There, was to be our "home" for 3 hours. I worked on it some more, but could not do anything. I did not know what to do. I did not know what's wrong with the car. What would let it go okay and then it quits and won't start? But I did know that if I keep using up my towings, that would be bad. So I was hoping to get this thing solved. I can't go on like this!!! I must get this thing solved! I wasn't far from Eric's house, and it was very late, so I got to thinking; why not wait awhile longer and then see if I could get Eric to come to help me. {Good luck with that!} I had left the security of the house {Mother's house, I don't have one} (at about 3:00) and I was wishing I hadn't. I was thinking that I could be sitting in front of the fire staying warm. (But there was Puddypie, what about him?) The most difficult part was trying to keep my knees from being cold all time. I was thinking, that if I had some sort of small heater down on the floor by my feet that would warm up the cab, that it would probably not be any unpleasant to be waiting in my car. And then I thought; I should have a blanket or 2 blankets in my car. I kept thinking: That when the daylight comes, it should start warming up. I was also thinking, that I could be as warm as I wanted if I was at home. I was thinking; maybe I can get Eric over here to help me and if I wait for the daylight, it should warm up some and give me or us some light to work with and when it gets later, businesses will be opening, so all I had to do was wait and survive the cold for awhile and maybe I can get this thing solved. I did not know what to do, so I waited. I had to keep drinking my water and I had to urinate a lot: - 3 times - but I held it for a long time. I looked at my starship design a bit. I comforted Puddypie and held him some, He was going to go to sleep once or twice, I don't know if he slept. I saw some suspicious people come by. But I was not in a bad place. It could have been much worse. I could have been on the side of the street in the dark. The traffic never stopped and later it increased. And I began thinking what a strange world it must be when people must get started so early that it won't be daylight yet for awhile. I called Eric. There was no answer. So I waited some more. Then I called him again and got Joy and Eric was up also. I talked to Eric for a few minutes. He did not want to come and help me saying that it was dark and there was no power and that this situation was my problem. -- I could see it from his point of view on this point but I pointed out to him that I was under a light and that it should be getting light soon. (And what does he need power for?) We had mostly concluded when, I guess his phone went out on him. {Now I'm thinking; maybe he hung-up on me. He likes to do that nonsense to me years later. The reason these things never gets solved is because I can't do it myself, no one helps me, and I don't have the money to pay for repairs.} So I was then thinking that I had done all this waiting for nothing and I was going to need to call for a "tow" after all. So I cranked the motor one more time, and it started! So I made a mad dash for home keeping my speed up high when I could, so if it quit I would be able to coast aways. And keeping my foot on the accelerator most of the time so that it would not stall on me. (It could quit at any time, but not stall.) And hoping that it would not quit. The handling seemed strange, but maybe it was all that water in the trunk. {-15 gallons.} And I got home! Puddypie and I got home. By then it was starting to get light. And I did not have a problem with Zila trying to get out because she does not want out in the daylight. I did not get to bed until very late, but I was glad to be home.
